The canal port of Cesenatico
The social and cultural axis of the city is the Canal Port: the hub of town life and the main tourist attraction, it has its roots in the project designed by Leonardo Da Vinci back in the 1500s. The bright colors of the houses and moored boats allow you to fully enjoy the seafaring spirit of this city.
Piazza delle Conserve
The square is just 5 minutes away from the hotel, right in the historic center. It is home to the " conserve or icehouses," large, 6-meter-deep wells built around the 1500s used to store fish and other foodstuffs. The square is often the site of agricultural, craft or flea markets.
Maritime Museum
In the heart of the historic center, the Maritime Museum allows visitors to come into contact with the sea and the world of sailors and fishermen. In addition to guided tours and archaeological evidence, there is also a floating section with traditional boats with their sails hoisted, including a trabaccolo and a bragozzo, typical Adriatic boats.
Pantani Museum
It is the place to learn about Marco Pantani, the great cyclist from Romagna, who was born right here in Cesenatico. The museum is only 1 km away from Hotel Cristoforo Colombo, near the train station. Inside, there are rooms dedicated to Marco as an athlete, man and artist along with memorabilia and some of his history-making bicycles.
